DO. DON'T. DO. DON'T DO...

In lieu of the end of our relaxing and peaceful school holidays, let me delve into the troughs of my experience on completing holiday homework on time, painstakingly built up from my nine years (kindergarten not included) of formal education.

Eve's Golden Book of Dos and Don'ts
DO find out the complete set of homework before you start

DO make a list of homework so you can cross them out as you finish and feel motivated (or depressed, whichever way you see it) at your progress

DO NOT plan homework schedules. Sure, you feel great and hardworking and whatever, but chances are, you won't stick to it and keep putting stuff off. And all you'll get is a messed-up homework schedule that serves no purpose and is collecting dust.

DO NOT plan homework sessions with friends. Most of the time you'll end up doing stuff totally unrelated to homework. Else you head to the library if you really want to. Still, it's highly not recommended.

DO NOT do the hard ones first, no matter what people tell you. LISTEN TO ME. You'll only get demoralised and give up on homework for the rest of the holiday.

DO space out subjects so you can do easy ones one day and harder ones another, so you don't get a brain overload.

DO ask your friends for help of you don't understand something, and DO NOT freak out when no one knows how to do it. One or two blanks won't kill you, as long as most are done.

And please, please, DO NOT start one week before school reopens. Got that, Nicole?
