Holidays

You know...
Holidays = Miss school
School = Miss holiday

Therefore I conclude Man is truly never happy.

Taking myself as an example, I was overjoyed to go to Hong Kong but because we were operating on such a tight schedule (as shown below):
6.30am- Wake up and get dressed
7.00am- Board tour bus
7.00-12.00pm- travel around to different scenic locations. Sleep on bus for extra nap time
12.00-12.45pm- Hurried lunch
1.00pm- Back on bus. Travel some more yadayadayada
5.00pm- Rush to catch ferry to Macau
5.30pm- Barely made it in time
6.30pm- Arrive in Macau.
7.00pm- Attempt to check into hotel but the lobby is full of old men smoking and it smells TERRIBLE and the person at the front desk is speaking in really horrible English *quells desire to stab him in the face*
8.00pm- Finally check in and go out to roam the streets and find dinner somewhere
9.00pm- Dad is still taking pictures. The rest of us are squatting at the side of te walkway dozing off
9.30pm- Everyone protests. We start waiting at some Shanghainese restaurant so we can get dinner (Dad refuses to eat at the porridge place next door even though it's not crowded)
10.00pm- Get a seat and falls asleep / starts drooling on the table
11.00pm- Attempt to get back to the hotel by memory after we lost the map of the city
Around 12am- Reach the hotel. Thank God.
1am- Sleep!!

And the cycle repeats again....

So it was very taxing on all of us and we didn't enjoy ourselves as much. But don't get me wrong, it was still fun. I just hope that I get more free time next time :/

Bored

Wondering what this manga is :/

Face Value

Noticed that the world simply isn't fair? You either have to have a nice face or nice personality. Have both and you'll go places. That promotion? You got it. That guy/girl you've been eyeing? No contest. Free things? All yours.
But apparently people who look better are less trusted. ._. Maybe it's the innocent, blur, pretty girl that you can't depend on stereotype; and the charming, handsome guy that swept you off your feet and made off with all your money stereotype? Lame but true.
Just sayin'. BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Henry Pott and the Marshmellows of Death (just joking!)

Yes, I'm back. Again. Wonder if y'all are bemoaning my posts now? Well, too bad, the new and hopefully improved Eve is here to stay.

Oh yeah, seeing that everyone is so hyped up about Harry Potter, let me give you my critique on how good (or bad, in my opinion) it was.

Don't get me wrong. I love Harry Potter, and woe betide anyone who dares to say otherwise. I grew up reading it. Since primary 2. And all those people who only watch the latest movie and none of the ideas cos it's trending on Twitter and call themselves HUGE fans of Harry Potter should just self-combust on the spot and die. Seriously.

Now, moving on- let me give you the brief synopsis in case you guys don't intend to watch it after reading my fantastically critical review (hope the producers won't sue me for defaming HP)

Harry's really ugly, he has lots of chest hair and no abs to speak of, Ron is the epitome of ugliness and has a muffin-top syndrome (you know, when the fat bulges over the waistband of your pants like a muffin), and all of them are going to look even more retarded 19 years into the future with centre partings and weird shirts. Only Emma Watson- Hermione looks great. Better than great. Fashion sense is still in check 19 years down the road! the only thing I think she lacks taste in are men. Seriously, Krum is this guy who looks like those emo, brooding soccer players or convicts with shaved heads? And Ron... face it, he was cute when he was young but not any more. Period.

Throughout the movie, people just kiss at really inappropriate times (hel-lo, go out there and save the world already!!!)
And the content is pretty summarised (can't blame them). If you've read the book and was waiting for certain parts to come out, you'd be pretty disappointed half the time.

Voldermort's nose still looks 2D even if you watch it in 3D == le fail~

Bored and tired, therein I shall end abruptly. Please find a place in your hearts to forgive me. Feeling very drained emotionally (tell you why another time, when I can think of it and not get angry). Goodnight peeps :) BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. Blogs are Public

I guess all of you should have realised by now, that I may occasionally post personal stuff, messages that I may want to get across to certain people *glares pointedly at you-know-who, yes, you*, I don't like naming names too often. Yes, I throw out names here and there for the benefit of people who know me in person, for easy reading and to recognise who the people are and what happened blahblahblah, but, and note the but, that I say with a lot of conviction, that I don't like revealing too much of myself here.

A blog is private? Yeah, sure. Just as much as a Facebook profile open for viewing for everyone, not just friends.

I mean, I can tell you my name is Eve (no harm there) and you'll know I live in Singapore, from my previous posts, but that's still fine, cos I know a girl in my school called Eve, too, a grade higher than me, so unless you tried really hard to find me (I doubt it) you probably wouldn't find me.

Disclaimer: When I said you probably won't find me, I am not posing this as a challenge. Stalk me and you'll be sorry. Really. I know Kung-Fu.

....okay, I don't. But I'm still gonna act like I have. And I can call for backup :D
Haha sorry I was just daydreaming about fantasy stories and the like. You know how teenage girls are(;

Omigosh, I've been totally diverted from my original plan. Now, what was I saying in the first place??
....this is why when you talk to me, we'll be switching topics real fast. I don't know how I do it. Why, everytime my mum yells at me to bathe now, I start talking to her about something then switch topics and an hour has passed, and I still haven't bathed yet yay me (;
And- oh, great.

*scrolls to top*

Okay, so the point I wanted to make is that my identity is a secret except for people who know me, don't open your door to strangers, don't get into some car when you don't know that person, yadayadayada.
The End.
(Therin ends my valuable lesson of the day.)
.

...What?? 人家也要睡觉的 leh!

'Tis Nought But Simple Prose

Howdy do, dear readers.
Oh, forgive me. I shouldt have been more chary of my language. I have been enamored by the beautiful prose of the Shakespearian era, no less. But why complain? Forgive this humble student, I was merely reminiscing my literary lessons two years back. 'Twas nought but a lesson back then, only now doust thou understand. So sit back and let the haunting words awash your soul and cleanse it anew... but I digress. Now, no more tardiness. Let us begin.

(My latest favourite, retrieved from Jodie Piccult's 'My Sister's Keeper')
Doubt thou that stars are fire;
Doubt thou that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt that I love.
-William Shakespeare,
Hamlet

One fire burns out another's burning,
One pain is lessen'd by another's anguish.
William Shakespeare,
Romeo and Juliet
(So true. To add quote upon quote, often
We see the ground whereon these woes do lie
But the true ground of all these piteous woes
We cannot without circumstance descry
-Romeo and Juliet?
Think these words were uttered near the end of the play, betwixt and between the death scene and the final resolution, by the Friar who married them)

And now my personal favourite. (Honestly, who can NOT love it??)
Nought's had, all's spent;
Where our desire is got without content.
'Tis safer to be that which we destroy
Than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy.

Omgeeeeee!!!! *squeals* memorised it and still remember it even now. Jus' sayin' :)
Liked the little bites of literature? See, it can be fun.

Ah, daybreak draws near. I take my fairest leave, and bid thee well. Good morrow, good morrow.

Human Nature = Laziness

Due to a recent request by one of my very good friends, I shall at last be benignus enough to update this long-depopularised media form.

Pathetic, if you ask me, that humans keep finding ways to save time and make everything they do as short as possible so they can cram all the numerous things that distracts them from actually sitting down peacefully and reading a nice thick novel with Ovaltine and blankets. Milo, if you prefer. But that's not really the point here.

And, of course, being the fair, just and totally objective person that I am, I am not pointing fingers at anyone... other than myself I guess. It's a really awful habit. Whenever I make up my mind to study hard, I will turn to something else within 15 minutes, if not less.
Books, games, food... Woefully more interesting things than studying.

Gosh, I am certain I have digressed from my actual plan.
....Long-forgotten, so it seems.
But don't you fret.
Let me continue.

So what has reading books and playing games and having a total lack of time management got to do with Blogger getting out of date, you may ask?

Well, simply put in layman terms, simplified and succinctly written for your reading pleasure; people are getting lazier. It's a worldwide phenomenon. People now regard writing long passages as a waste of time. So what do they do? They invented a media form that INSISTS you stick to an incredibly limited word limit. Ridiculous, preposterous, critics say- me included. Well, whoever came up with this idea clearly did his research and found humans' fatal flaw. Laziness.

I loathe it, yet I am guilty of it. Y'know, there are just some days where you can't seem to want to do anything other than lounge around the house watching TV and snacking? And the idea of studying when you have free time is practical and sensible, but so unappealing. I blame human nature. If we could find an easier way out, we would.

Like, how no one is willing to hike fifteen kilometres to get muddy water out of a dirt well?
Or wake up at 4am just to walk ten kilometres to school? And not complain? I bet you one million dollars that no one in their right mind would do this.
And some people even have their groceries ordered over the phone and have them delivered to their house, never mind the extra charge and the fact that they could easily have walked two blocks down to the supermarket.

....Sigh, epitome of laziness.

Blogger is outdated..

I just realised with facebook, no one ever blogs these days.

Like me.

Well, I'm gonna buck my own trend and post something, even if it's horribly short.

YAY ME.

Don't expect me to be doing this too often. It's just the relief from end of exams that's letting me stare at this outdated media thinking about what to type. And mainly because people's handphones have no batteries.

I know what you're thinking.

You're going,
"HUH?? Eve is going off her rocker!"
no, I'm not.
It's a long story best left unexplained, but I assure you, I'm perfectly sane.

Vietnam trip :)))))
